Fleets

Fleet Organization
Group devices by:
- Location: "NYC Office", "London Warehouse", "Tokyo Retail"
- Environment: "Production", "Staging", "Development"
- Function: "Digital Signage", "ML Inference", "Data Collection"
Fleet Tabs
Overview
View fleet-wide metrics:
- Total device count
- Online/offline status
- Configuration compliance
- Recent activity
Configuration
Assign a configuration to all devices in the fleet with one click.
Networking
Configure Wi-Fi networks for automatic connectivity.
Adding Wi-Fi Networks:
- Click Add Network
- Enter SSID (network name)
- Provide password
- Set priority (1 = highest)
Devices connect to networks in priority order, automatically falling back if the highest priority network is unavailable.
Example:
Priority 1: "Office-5GHz" (fastest, limited range)
Priority 2: "Office-2.4GHz" (fallback, better range)
Priority 3: "Office-Guest" (last resort)
Provisioning Profiles
Create pre-configured OS images for automatic device joining. See Automatic Device Provisioning for details.
Best Practices
Start Small
- Create fleets for small groups initially
- Test configurations thoroughly before expanding
Use Staging Fleets
- Mirror production environments
- Test rollouts in staging first
Descriptive Naming
- ✅ "Production-Retail-EastCoast"
- ❌ "Fleet-1"
Regular Audits
- Review fleet membership periodically
- Ensure devices are in correct groups
