Hardware Access
This guide outlines best practices for building containerized workloads on the Admiral platform that require direct, low-latency hardware access for Robotics (ROS/ROS2), Computer Vision, Motor Controllers, GPU/NPU Acceleration, and Multimedia Subsystems.
Robotics & ROS 2
Admiral runs the full software stack of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), unmanned submersibles (AUVs/ROVs), robotic manipulators, and physical AI perception nodes. A ROS 2 stack usually moves over unchanged: package it as one OCI image, start it with your normal launch file, and set the options below.
Jetson Orin CUDA
Developer preview for Jetson AGX Orin, Orin NX, and Orin Nano. Admiral supplies the NVIDIA driver on the device and runs your CUDA application as the system userspace. The same driver path covers CUDA compute and GPU display output (EGL, OpenGL, Vulkan).
Unitree Robots
Put a Unitree G1's developer computer (PC2, Jetson Orin NX) into recovery mode, update its firmware to JetPack 7.2, flash Admiral Base OS to the NVMe, and pair it with your fleet.
